So what’s it all about?
Alfie’s magic workshops provide an engaging and fun way of learning and perfecting the art of close-up magic and are a great way of keeping the children entertained during the summer holidays!
The tricks are simple and easy to master, with no previous experience required. Alfie will typically perform 15 minutes of close-up magic for the group, followed by 30 – 60 minutes of interactive teaching. Alfie matches the pace of the group and will tailor the workshop to suit the group’s ability.
The last 15 minutes of the workshop is used as an opportunity for any of the children who wish to perform a magic trick to the group to do so. All magic materials are supplied and a goody bag each ensures that every child goes home with the props and confidence to amaze their friends and family with their newly acquired skills!

What tricks are taught?
Alfie will teach the children a selection of easy to master magic tricks, including tricks with cards, coins, sponge balls and elastic bands. The workshop is interactive and allows for plenty of time to practice, develop ideas and ask questions.
Parents or guardians are most welcome to sit in on the workshop’s activities and it’s suggested that they do so for the younger children.
When and where can a workshop be held?
Alfie can teach magic to children aged between 8 and 13 years old and for groups of up to 12 children (larger classes available upon request). The workshop can be held in the comfort of your own home or at a hall or venue privately hired out for the special occasion.
Magic workshops are often best run during the day prior to lunch or before cutting the birthday cake!
